Sadly due to the current situation regarding the Corona Covid-19 virus the decision has been taken that the annual Friends of Woking Homes Fete will not be taking place this year. We are still considering the sponsored walk & BBQ in September. Stay safe everyone

On the 7th of September Friends of Woking Homes held their annual Sponsored Walk. A great day was had by all! The walk was followed by a BBQ back at Woking Homes and we had our fun raffle which always raises a smile or two. We are awaiting confirmation of the total amount raised.
Cliff Longhurst and his Jazz Nights Orchestra entertained the residents for an evening of celebration!
Friends of Woking Homes quarterly meeting will be held on 28th September at 11:00am in The Bar Lounge.
On Monday 22nd of July we had the ribbon cutting ceremony and official naming of our newly extended dining room. Gordon Pettitt OBE (our president) thanked all those involved with the project. Dick Fearn Chairman of the Bluebell Railway had the honour of cutting the ribbon.
A wonderful day was had by all! We raised £1,400 which will be used to benefit the residents’ directly. Thank you to those who contributed to the day. Special thanks to Rebecca’s school of dance for their wonderful dance display.

On the 5th of June we celebrated Rosa’s 100th Birthday! Rosa was born and raised in Wales so it seemed only fitting that we provided an entertainer who was able to serenade her in welsh. Rosa enjoyed a second birthday celebration with her family at the weekend.
